A graduate of Sydney's National Art School with a major in painting, Geoffrey Adams has been a practising artist for about 30 years and held exhibitions on subject matter ranging from inner-city bar scenes to mangrove landscapes.
Adams paints with sticks, knives and brushes, using a combination of methods including oil glazes and washes, drips and spatter to achieve unusual and distinctive effects. For watercolour and ink studies, he collects ochre pigments from different coloured soils to add to his works on paper and canvas.
